Emily is part of the team responsible for continuing to develop the unique knowledge-sharing culture at the firm. She focuses on facilitating knowledge development and sharing on a wide range of Environmental, Social and Governance issues by tracking legal and regulatory developments and sharing practical knowhow. She supports professionals across the firm to develop knowledge and expertise by working collaboratively to provide training and insights on the fast-developing ESG landscape, and identifying and advancing opportunities for thought leadership.
Emily is a lawyer (NZ qualified) with experience in the public and private sectors and has been part of a range of groups and initiatives with sustainability at the heart of their purpose. Before joining Charles Russell Speechlys Emily was National Law Reform and Advocacy Adviser (Policy Courts and Government) at the New Zealand Law Society, and an inaugural Board member of Lawyers for Climate Action New Zealand Inc.
