We are now only days away from Humanizing High Density: People, Nature and the Urban Realm, the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat’s annual conference in Singapore. Charles Russell Speechlys are proud to be sponsoring what promises to be an engaging event and we are very much looking forward to joining the conversation covering the key challenges and opportunities facing those who design and develop our cities of the future.

The conference starts on Monday 16 October with a series of half-day workshops from 13:30 (local time). We are delighted to be hosting one of the workshops which will build on the outcomes of our Skyscraper vs Groundscraper report with a focus on the Legal Dynamics of Future Dense Cities. We will compare and contrast experiences in different jurisdictions by reference to some of the most important developments of recent years. These include 22 Bishopsgate in London and The Line, Neom in Saudi Arabia.

The areas for discussion will include government and state controls, private rights and restrictions, ESG and building and fire safety. The workshop will include an interactive discussion with a global audience in which we will share experiences and reflections on legal systems at differing stages of evolution.

If you happen to be in Singapore next week please do contact us as there are still a handful of places available at our workshop. If not, we will capture and share the learnings after the conference.
