… an air fryer?

With Christmas fast approaching, the Real Estate Disputes team at Charles Russell Speechlys have put their requests to Father Christmas (although many requests are perhaps better addressed to Parliament rather than Lapland?!)

Rights of light specialist, James Souter wants your light to have fewer rights, whilst Hope Barton wants a shortening of the seemingly ever-widening registration gap.  Bella Stuart-Bourne would like to keep a pet in her rented home (with her landlord's consent!), whereas Natalie Deuchar would like a break from break notices.

Laura Bushaway would like Parliament to think very carefully before reforming the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, which broadly works, whereas Rachel Morrish wants to roast the Renters Reform Bill as a complete turkey.

Both of us would rather Parliament focuses its attention on reforming the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 to address some of the unintended consequences that have arisen out of the good intention of giving leaseholders a right of first refusal over disposals affecting their buildings.

Finally, all Christopher Gothard wants for Christmas is for the County Court at Central London to change its hold music…

We wish everyone an enjoyable and restful festive season!  (And may some of our wishes come true in 2024…)
